Scholarships for ABCUSA and Grotonwood/Oceanwood Ministry Experiences

The American Baptist Churches of the Samuel Stillman Association encourages and assists its youth to participate in the various American Baptist Churches USA and Grotonwood/Oceanwood camping ministry experiences enabling them to develop as individuals, and grow their faith.  Some examples of these experiences are:  mission opportunities, Christian Youth Conference, National Gathering for Girls, National Gathering for Youth, summer camps, retreats, etc.

The American Baptist Churches of the Samuel Stillman Association recognizes that some of the ministry experiences for youth require chaperones.  New this year is scholarship assistance for chaperones.

Scholarship for Seminarians

The American Baptist Churches in the Samuel Stillman Association want to support those whose professional pursuit is serving our Lord.  To that end the Samuel Stillman Association offers modest scholarships to Middlers and Seniors who are active members of an American Baptist affiliated congregation and working with a local Samuel Stillman congregation.

Grants

The American Baptist Churches in the Samuel Stillman Association with funding provided by the Boston Baptist Social Union is providing grants to SSA churches for the year 2017/2018. The purpose of these grants is to encourage the churches to initiate projects to help those in need and to strengthen the local churches by “hands on” community outreach, and to encourage the churches to become involved in the work of the SSA and TABCOM.  Such projects include, but are not limited to fuel for heating, food pantries, parenting classes, alcohol education, English language courses, meals for the hungry, as well as evangelistic type outreach projects.
